Bryton Rider 50 GPS

Bryton GPS units have a new distributor, Oceania Bicycles. The Rider 50 is the top model, setting itself up against Garmin’s Edge 705. It uses a web based map system, covering all of Australia and also has a chest strap based heart rate monitor. You can customise the number of functions you’d like to see on the screen as you ride, up to six at any one moment. After setting in your home altitude it will provide you with altitude, gradient, speed etc. There is also an optional cadence sensor. Best of all, it’s about $200 cheaper than the major competition.

Price: $499
