Giant’s Unveils World First at 2013 Launch

  • Posted: 3rd September 2012

Giant Bicycles Australia drew around 120 dealers from across Australia and New Zealand to Melbourne for their 2013 product launch from Monday 13th August.

Giant chose the upmarket Zinc restaurant, overlooking the Yarra at Federation Square in the heart of Melbourne as their launch venue. Keen dealers were seen queuing at the door prior to the 10 am opening.

Giant were heavily promoting their new Liv/giant program which they say is more than just a women’s specific range of bicycles. In addition to specially designed bikes and P&A, some Giant dealers are running introductory group rides for women, covering road and mountain and catering for social riders.

As part of this initiative, Giant has a Liv/giant section of their website including a calendar of women’s social rides profiles of Liv/giant women’s cycling ambassadors.

Giant are claiming a first for their Anthem X 29er W, as the world’s first women’s specific geometry 29er full suspension mountain bike.

Check out our Wheel Gossip section for some photos of attending dealers.
