SIS Protein

Last issue we showed you the new gel range from Science in Sport. Here are some more of their products: The two bottles on the left are the SIS Electrolyte Formula called PSP22. PSP22 uses fructose and glucose polymers for a high energy and it aims to be easy on your stomach, particularly during long events.

SIS claim that PSP22 can be used before exercise as carbo-loading, during exercise to maximise performance and after exercise as a refuelling source. PSP22 comes in Tropical and Blackcurrant flavours. A 500ml bottle of powder will set you back around $25 and it is also available in single use sachets.

The two bottles on the right are the Rego recovery formulas. These are available in Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla flavours and as you might expect, these are in a shake form. This formula contains 26g of protein for every 100g of powder. It is also high in glutamine and is lactose free to aid carbohydrate replacement and muscle repair. Sogium and potassium are present to optimise hydration, anti-oxidants and phytonutrients to protect against free radicals. Lastly, the formula includes B vitamins, magnesium, zinc and phosphorous for energy production. Again available in 500g bottles ($27) or single use sachets.

Price: $25 (PPS22 500g)

$72 box of 18 single sachets

$27 Rego Recovery Formula 500g

$4 Individual Rego Recovery Formula sachets
