Icedot Safety Technology

This tiny disc is a game changer in helmet safety technology. It’s a small crash sensor about the size of a 20cent piece that is mounted to your helmet that will register any impact of significance and alert your chosen emergency contact via SMS along with a map of your location. The unit pairs with your smartphone via Bluetooth to enable the transmission. Iphones are currently supported while Android service is due to commence shortly. In the event of sufficient critical forces being registered a countdown alarm is activated. If the alarm is not disabled the alert message is sent out. The Icedot service is due to commence in Australia late 2013 and the sensors themselves will be available online to begin and then through bike retailers.
