Could This Melbourne-Based Company Reduce Dooring Incidents with New Tech?

Melbourne-based startup company Dooring Alert Systems, has created a vehicle integrated alert system to warn riders of opening car doors and to remind drivers and passengers to check for oncoming cyclists.

In a bid to reduce the amount of fatalities and injuries due to vehicle doors being opened on cyclists, the company has come up with a range of alert systems that tell the driver to check for cyclists after unclipping their seatbealt, as well as flashing signals around the back window of the vehicle to warn cyclists of an imminent door opening.

The campaign also aims to raise awareness of the issue with education and information released on their Youtube channel.

For more information visit the Dooring Alert System’s website.
