Giant Tease Race-Bred TCR Advanced 1 Disc for Australian Market

Overnight the Taiwanese bicycle manufacturer Giant have teased their latest incarnation of their popular TCR Advanced model with road disc brakes.

Giant Australia enter the race-bred disc market with the TCR Advanced 1 Disc in a flamboyant Green colourway. This model will come with the Shimano Ultegra 11-speed mechanical groupset and RS505 hydraulic disc brakes. 12mm thru-axles and 160mm rotors round off the rigid TCR Advanced 1 Disc package.

The frame is constructed of their advanced-grade composite material and features the Giant Variant seat post. With the addition of flat mount disc brakes the fork and rear triangle have been beefed up to handle the extra forces. Apart from the structural reinforcements the frame is still the same as the TCR Advanced caliper range.

The remaining components are covered by Giant’s in-house Contact brand including the tubeless ready PR-2 rims.

The Australian RRP is $2,999 at Giant retailers right now.
