Although COVID has had a major impact on the sport I believe road/track cycling in NSW has gone backwards under AusCycling. As an example, the Grafton to Inverell which started approximately 60 years ago and is possibly one of the toughest races on the calendar, received very little promotion from AusCycling. This is similar to other events in NSW. With one or two exceptions the staff within AusCycling appear to have limited understanding of the sport, how to promote it and running events.
