The 9th annual Bowral Classic Cycling Gran Fondo is returning to the Southern Highlands of NSW on Sunday, 19 October.
Close to 2,500 riders are registered for the 2025 event. Participants travel from across Australia and internationally from nine different countries, including Singapore, New Zealand, United States of America, The Netherlands and Switzerland, to ride one of the three road cycling courses.

Cyclists will take on one of three courses ranging from 85km to 150km. All routes have been designed to highlight the best of the region’s rolling hills and breathtaking views, with riders passing through the quaint country towns of Berrima, Moss Vale, Bundanoon, Fitzroy Falls, Robertson and Glenquarry.
All are welcome to join in on the Event Village festivities between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm on Sunday, 19 October, at Loseby Park, Bowral. Spectators can cheer on the riders as they pass through the finish line, enjoy live music, a selection of local bars, food trucks, children’s activities, and cycling exhibitor stalls.

Beyond the ride, the Bowral Classic has strong ties to the Southern Highlands community. Each year, close to 150 community members volunteer their time across the event, from managing rest stops to marshalling riders on course. In return, the event provides donations back to their local not-for-profit organisations, helping to support their invaluable work in the region.
Riders also have the option to raise money for a charity of their choice, and they have currently raised over $23,000 for charities across Australia.
The Bowral Classic is proudly supported by the NSW Government through Destination NSW, its tourism and major events agency.

The Bowral Classic is part of The Classics series by Bicycling Australia. Over the last nine years, The Classics has hosted Gran Fondo Cycling events in three states and continues to deliver the Bowral Classic and Mudgee Classic events.
Registrations close on Friday, 17 October 2025. Don’t miss out.
