Today is ‘World Bicycle Day’, a day decreed by the United Nations to recognise “the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the bicycle… a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport, fostering environmental stewardship and health.”
Established in 2018, World Bicycle Day is marked annually on 3 June by cycling advocates and enthusiasts around the world.
For everyone who loves cycling, the bicycle holds a different meaning. For some, it’s an essential mode of transportation, for others, it’s a means of exercise, and for many, it provides freedom.
Whatever your motivation, make sure you enjoy riding a bicycle today.
