Check This Out … DJ Spoony’s Custom Ribble Is In The House

Ribble has collaborated with celebrated UK musician DJ Spoony to create a unique Special Edition Ultra SL R.

DJ Spoony is well known for collaborations with big name vocalists and hits including Sweet Like Chocolate, Gotta Get Thru This, Sunshine, Flowers and more.

A fitness enthusiast and keen cyclist, Johnathan Joseph aka the DJ has been riding Ribble for the past year after first seeing the Ultra following a stage appearance at a bicycle show. He is passionate about cycling for physical and mental health and is looking at creating an open-to-all cycling social ride with Ribble to promote well-being, health and happiness.

Fitted with the top tier Dura Ace groupset and high end Mavic wheels, the custom Ultra includes the best of the best including a gold chain, Fizik saddle and GP 5000 tyres.

Ribble’s in-house design & paint studio created DJ Spoony’s dream machine Ultra SL R using a bespoke Gold Flame, Black and Gold paint design. DJ Spoony’s logo features on the forks and headset top cap, with handwritten lyrics from one of his favourite songs on the inside of the seat stay.

“Cycling is all about the social aspect for me and this bike will be a talking point. I love the idea that when I check my bike over before every ride I’ll see the lyrics,” Johnathan Joseph aka DJ Spoony said.

“The song always puts a big smile on my face and will help me get up the hills! I can’t wait to get this bike out onto the road – I know how fast they are and how stunning they look, but this bike takes it up a gear (no pun intended).”

Equipped with Shimano DuraAce Di2, Fizik Arionesaddle the Ultra is finished with a custom set of Mavic wheels.
