CUBE Agree gets lighter and more aerodynamic with new MY27

CUBE has unveiled its MY27 Agree range, with the latest version of its endurance-focused road bike gaining a lighter carbon frame, revised aerodynamics and increased tyre clearance.

The redesigned C:62 carbon frame and full-carbon fork are claimed to be around 150g lighter than the previous generation. CUBE also says changes to the frame, fork, cockpit and seatpost reduce aerodynamic drag by 10.4 watts.

The changes are intended to improve the Agree’s performance without moving it away from its endurance-road focus.

A redesigned aerodynamic seatpost is said to reduce drag while also improving comfort, while a new aero frame bag adds storage capacity and is claimed to save a further 1.2 watts compared with the previous design.

The C:62 carbon construction remains central to the range, with CUBE targeting a combination of low weight, stiffness and comfort.

The MY27 Agree also gets clearance for tyres up to 36mm, giving riders more scope to choose wider rubber for comfort and less-than-perfect road surfaces.

CUBE has also removed the steering-angle lock found on the previous model, allowing a wider steering angle and more natural steering response.

The Australian range consists of six models, with prices starting at $5,199.

The range spans from the entry-level C:62 ONE through to the flagship SLT models, with both Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS options at the top of the range.

The combination of lower weight, claimed aerodynamic improvements, greater tyre clearance and revised comfort features gives the Agree a broader performance brief, whether it’s being used for training, racing or longer road rides.
