Really interesting read. I like the point that handmade bikes are about much more than aesthetics. The focus on fit, geometry, performance and the relationship between the builder and rider is something that can easily get lost with mass-produced bikes.
It’s also encouraging to see that there are still independent builders in Australia keeping these skills alive. The connection between engineering, craftsmanship and the individual rider makes the custom-bike space pretty unique.
