A trip down memory lane at the Giro

This year’s Giro d’Italia is the 108th edition of the great race, so we thought it would be appropriate to take a trip down memory lane.

Thanks to our photography partner Stefano Sirotti, we can share some historic images of the race from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.

The first Aussie rider to participate in the Giro was Brisbane-born Garry Clively, who lined up for the 1976 edition. He finished a creditable 44th on GC after being 12th at the halfway mark.

Please enjoy this pictorial trip down memory lane…..
