Gallery: Golden Girl Grace Bows Out With Rainbow Jersey

Grace Brown will retire from the sport of cycling with not only Olympic Gold but the World Championship Rainbow Jersey as well.

After a scintillating performance at the UCI Road World Championships in Zurich, Grace blitzed the field to set the fastest Individual Time Trial time.

“In the last couple of kilometres I kept on telling myself I can be world champion and that gave me the strength to push all the way to the end,” said Brown.

Announcing her retirement earlier this year, Brown has enjoyed her most successful season ever having won Liege-Bastogne-Liege, the Paris Olympics TT and now the World Championship TT.

Grace Brown will feature in the November / December edition of Bicycling Australia Magazine with Lee ‘Hollywood’ Turner interviewing her for the title.
