The Classics event series by Bicycling Australia is excited to announce the opening of Mudgee Classic 2025 registrations.
The Mudgee Classic will be held over the weekend of 3-4 May, 2025 and offers cycling enthusiasts two adventure-packed days of gravel and road cycling.
The event weekend will kick off with the 55km Dirty Mudgee gravel event on Saturday, 3 May. This event is perfect for gravel and mountain biking enthusiasts looking to experience the rugged and unsealed roads of Mudgee’s backcountry, offering a unique challenge and true adventure.
The fun continues Sunday, 4 May with the Road Cycling Gran Fondo. Catering to all levels of experience, there are four courses to choose from:
- Maxi Classic: A 170km endurance ride for seasoned cyclists ready to tackle the rolling hills and expansive vineyards.
- Challenge Classic: A 120km ride offering a balance of challenge and enjoyment, ideal for regular riders.
- Rouleurs Classic: A 65km course perfect for those seeking a more leisurely yet rewarding experience.
- Social Classic: A 35km ride suited for beginners, families, and those wanting to enjoy a relaxed ride through the countryside.
James Yaffa, The Classics Founder, organisers of the Mudgee Classic, said the team was excited to return to the Mudgee region in May.
“We are thrilled to host the 2025 Mudgee Classic, an event that brings together thousands of cyclists from all over the country.”
Yaffa added, “It’s more than just a ride; it’s a celebration of the joy of cycling that showcases the stunning Mudgee countryside and the beautiful hospitality of the region. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply want to enjoy a day out on the bike, the Mudgee Classic offers something for everyone.”
The Mudgee Classic is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
