Giant and Liv unveiled the all-new Seek youth road bike range at Eurobike in Frankfurt last week. Designed to bring high-performance road riding to the next generation of cyclists, the Seek range combines premium lightweight materials, youth-optimised components, and advanced drivetrain and braking technology in a platform that’s purpose-built for riders 130–150cm tall.
The new Seek was created to transform the road riding experience for kids and give them the same feeling of speed, efficiency and control that adult road riders enjoy.
The two Seek models have a lightweight aluminium frame and composite fork—both purpose-built and optimised for smaller diameter 650b composite wheels. The Giant and Liv Seek 1 models weigh 7.4kg, and the drivetrain features shorter 130mm cranks and smaller gears to help young riders climb, accelerate, and spin with a higher cadence for smooth efficiency.
Youth-optimised components
A Giant Contact SL Lite handlebar, designed for smaller hands, features a shorter reach (62mm) and drops (100mm) than typical adult bars. The brake levers are designed for smaller hands, with a 35% shorter reach from the drops and 30% shorter from the hoods. The outer hood diameter is 20% smaller, while the lever’s flared shape improves ergonomics. The braking curve is tuned for lower grip strength, giving kids better control in all conditions. A 1X drivetrain with electronic shifting makes gear changing easier, and a Giant Grit Core Lite saddle has a narrow 125mm width for optimal comfort and positioning.
Adjustable fit
Designed for kids 130-150cm tall, Seek is designed to be easy to adjust the fit and modify a rider’s position as they grow taller and gain experience. A seatpost marked with a body height index makes saddle height adjustment quick, easy and intuitive. The frameset is designed around the 650b wheels with an increased bottom bracket drop to enhance stability.
The new models will be available in August 2025 in Australia, and the lineup includes the following models:
