During the month of March, Make-A-Wish Australia invites you to cycle as many kilometres as you can, while raising funds that will help grant wishes for critically ill children across the country.
Did you know…? Wishes aren’t just ‘one-offs’ – each wish is carefully planned, designed and delivered to best complement a child’s medical treatment. The wishes are as unique, inspiring and extraordinary as the children who imagine them.
A wish lets sick children and their families focus on the possibility of tomorrow, not the challenges of today. And for everyone involved, wishes have a remarkable, uplifting and positive impact – well beyond the wish itself.

Why Should I Register to Ride For Wishes?
Each and every day, Make-A-Wish® Australia brings amazing people together to grant life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness. Wishes are designed to complement medical treatment, supporting families and empowering sick children with hope and joy when they need it most. Right now, there are over 900 critically ill kids on their Wish Journey. We need your help to grant as many of these wishes as possible.
Jody’s Reason to Ride
Jody’s son Xavier had his wish granted in 2017 to go to Australia Zoo and Gold Coast Theme Parks.
“At the age of 4 my son Xavier was diagnosed with Leukaemia. He was on treatment for 4 years. Make-A-Wish was a big part of Xavier’s Journey. Not only did they grant him a wish to go on a family holiday to QLD, but they also bought Fat Cat, (whom he idolised) Santa and the fire brigade to our house just before Christmas one year. They gave him a new bike and invited him to other fun events. They did all this for Xavier as they knew his wish wouldn’t be granted until after he had finished treatment and was feeling better. Xavier is now a happy, healthy 14 year old. I made a promise that when he was better I would give back to everyone that had helped him. So it’s our turn to give back to Make-A -Wish.” Jody, Xavier’s Mum.
