Bahrain Merida have had an unfortunate start to the new Hammer Series with the team’s fleet of TT bikes stolen on the eve of the debut competition.
Nine Time Trial bikes and a road bike were stolen from the team truck sometime on Thursday night. Despite the setback the team remain ready for the opening race.
Management said rider’s morale and motivation was high despite the fact they’ll likely be using road bikes for Sunday’s Time Trial.
The stolen bikes include nine Merida Warm TT complete bike with Fulcrum Disc wheels and Dura ace Di2 Groupsets – and each including an SRM Power meter system. A Merida Reacto road bike with Dura Ace Di2 Groupset and SRM was also taken.
Bahrain Merida have put out a call for assistance – if anyone sees the bikes near Limburg, spots them advertised online, or has any further clues, contact the team via info@bahraincyclingteam.com
