Tour Down Under Announces Race Dates

Buckle up! The organisers of Australia’s largest road race, the Tour Down Under have announced the dates. The event will begin on the 16th of January and conclude on the 23rd of January with the traditional Monday rest day on the 24th.

The 2010 Santos Tour Down Under attracted over three quarters of a million spectators and approximately 40,000 visitors from interstate and overseas. At this stage the route has yet to be finalised and the question regarding which riders will attend is still open. Will Lance Armstrong be back? What about Valverde, Sanchez and the other favourites? Or will we see another champion such as Mark Cavendish or Tom Boonen begin their season Down Under? Watch this space!
