BMC Racing Team and Australia’s Drapac Professional Cycling have confirmed their 7 man roster for the 2016 Santos Tour Down Under held 16 – 24 January.
Expecting another solid performance at the event this year, Drapac Professional Cycling team has been given their third consecutive wildcard entry into the UCI WorldTour event with Graeme Brown, three time stage winner and 2001 TDU Sprint Jersey classification overall winner, lining up for his 14th start at the event.
Also confirmed is Team BMC Racing from the USA with reigning champ Rohan Dennis and fellow Australian Richie Porte making a return as team mates to the 2016 iteration of the first WorldTour event held in Adelaide.
Both Dennis and Porte have said they are looking forward to starting the season in Australia and have realistic goals set for the race, with Corkscrew Hill on Stage 3 and Willunga Hill on Stage 5 being the most critical points of the event.
