Mudgee Classic Sells Out Early as 3,000+ Riders Set to Roll into the Region

The 2026 Mudgee Classic has officially reached capacity, with online registrations now closed ahead of the event weekend on May 2–3, as more than 3,000 riders prepare to descend on the Mudgee region.

The sell-out marks a major milestone for the event, highlighting its continued growth and strong appeal.

With six courses across two days, including the introduction of the new Dirty Mudgee gravel ride routes, this year’s event is set to deliver one of the biggest and most dynamic weekends yet.

Founder of The Classics, James Yaffa, said the response to this year’s event has been overwhelming.

“What a way to kick off the 10th year of The Classics event series. To see the Mudgee Classic reach capacity is a testament to the strength of the event, the region, and the incredible support from riders and the local community” Yaffa said.

“We’re proud to showcase Mudgee to thousands of riders and visitors once again, and we’re already looking ahead to continuing the celebrations at the Bowral Classic this October.”

The Mudgee Classic has become a key event on the Australian cycling calendar, combining scenic road riding with a growing appetite for gravel, while also delivering significant benefits to the local visitor economy.

With riders travelling from across the country, the event is expected to once again deliver a strong boost to local businesses, accommodation providers, and hospitality venues across the region.

From gravel backroads to rolling country lanes, and a vibrant event village at Glen Willow Sporting Complex, the 2026 Mudgee Classic promises an unforgettable weekend of riding, community, and country hospitality.
