We recently spent a couple of days at a place that could be described as one of the nation’s top Intensive Care Units for precious carbon bikes.
The company is Carbon Steed, they are based in Brisbane, and Gary McDonald and the team are absolute masters so far as all aspects of carbon fiber repair and frame painting are concerned.
While there, Gary showed us a fascinating before and after of a high-end Pinarello Dogma F10 that had suffered significant top tube damage. The bike looked like a write off, however Gary completed the carbon repair, matched the frame’s original paint and intricate factory detailing, and handed back to the owner a bike that looked like new.
It was super-impressive work and a phenomenal job as you’ll see in the video below.
