Breakthrough T1D has officially launched its flagship cycling fundraiser, One Ride 2026, with a Sydney event bringing together riders, supporters, corporate partners and prospective participants ahead of this year’s ride.
Hosted at the MAAP Sydney store, the launch outlined plans for the 2026 event while giving attendees the chance to connect with members of the cycling and type 1 diabetes (T1D) community and learn how their fundraising efforts will support research into the condition.

Now in its 18th year, One Ride has become Australia’s premier cycling fundraiser for T1D research, raising more than $15 million through the efforts of more than 4,650 riders since its inception.
The 2026 event is open to cyclists of all ages and abilities, with funds supporting Breakthrough T1D’s work to accelerate research into treatments, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.
One Ride 2026 will be held in South Australia’s Barossa Valley from 20-22 November, with corporate teams, community groups and individual riders all encouraged to take part.
Registrations are now open here.
