Australian road race champion Pat Eddy will take the next step in his professional career in 2027 after signing with Modern Adventure Pro Cycling.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season with Team Brennan in 2026, winning the elite men’s Australian road race championship before delivering a series of strong performances in Europe.
Eddy claimed victories at Ronde van Overijssel and Midden-Brabant Poort Omloop in the Netherlands, then capped off his European campaign by winning the general classification at France’s Ronde de l’Oise.
The results have helped put him back on track after his contract with Dutch team Picnic PostNL was not renewed at the end of 2025. Eddy had spent four seasons with the organisation, progressing to its WorldTour squad and making his Grand Tour debut at the 2025 Vuelta a España.
His move to Modern Adventure Pro Cycling provides another opportunity to establish himself in international racing, with the American team looking to strengthen its roster ahead of the 2027 season.
“I’m really excited to be part of a new team that has so much potential and aspiration to grow,” Eddy said.
“From my initial conversations with the directors, I could tell this will be a great environment for me to develop as a rider.”
Team co-founder George Hincapie said Eddy’s national title and European results demonstrated his potential.
“Pat had a brilliant season, and winning the Australian national title says a lot about the level he’s capable of. He’s also shown he can deliver results in Europe, which is an important quality for our program,” Hincapie said.
“We’re excited to bring him into the team, give him the support to keep developing, and see what we can achieve together.”
Modern Adventure Pro Cycling is continuing to build its programme, with ambitions to reach the Tour de France within five years. Factor is also set to become a co-title sponsor in 2027, supporting the team’s longer-term development.
