An estimated 1300 cycling enthusiasts honed in on Noosa for Sunday’s 4th annual Noosa Classic Gran Fondo event.
Under perfectly clear skies and a 23 degree day, riders covered one of the 65km Rouleurs, 120km Challenge or 160km Maxi Classic route options.
Lee ’Hollywood’ Turner kept the riders entertained through the early morning and the start gun was fired by Sunshine Coast Triathlete Alexa O’Leary, the rising star who almost lost her life after a shocking accident in 2021. You can read more about Lex and the ’Move For Lex’ charity here
Bicycling Australia’s next major Gran Fondo event is the 6th Bowral Classic in the Southern Highlands on October 15 & 16 – you can enter here.
