Preview: New Liv Avail Advanced E+ Elite

Liv, the women’s brand from Giant has unveiled a new e-road bike with the Avail Advanced E+ Elite to the world this week. The team who developed the new bike based on the Liv Avail endurance geometry said their aim is to create a lightweight road bike with electrical assistance that rides very much like an ‘analogue’ bike.

Liv says the new bike delivers 30Nm of torque from its rear-wheel hub motor, which is comparable to 75Nm of torque in a mid-drive motor. It has a riding range of up to 150 km using the 400Wh main battery and a 200Wh range extender. Even with just the 400Wh main battery, the range can exceed 100 km. Other variables like weather conditions, terrain, tyre pressure, maintenance and others come into play.

There are four models in the new range which will be available this month.

BA is testing the bike soon and a detailed review will be in the January/February issue of the magazine.
