VIDEO: OBE Backstage Pass, As Porte And Yates Prepare To Battle It Out In The Mountains

As the Tour de France enters its final two days in the mountains, many Aussie fans might be finding themselves in a binding conundrum.

Support Richie Porte and will him on to a podium position, or cheer on 23-year-old Orica-Bike Exchange rider Adam Yates, the Briton currently holding 3rd position overall.

In a perfect world both Richie and Adam might share the podium with the invincible Chris Froome, but only time, and the next two mountain stages, will tell.

One things for sure, tonights 146km stage from Albertville to Mont Blanc will be riddled with attacks. The relatively short stage includes 5 significant climbs with the final 10km up an 8% incline. One for the pure climbers, if riders are not going up they’ll be on their way down.

It’s worth noting that televised and online coverage of tonight’s stage begins at 8:30pm AEST (6:30pm in WA) on SBS.

In the lead up to tonights epic stage 19 here’s the latest Orica-Bike Exchange Backstage Pass, a fast-paced video detailing a behind-the scenes look at Adam Yates in action.
