We don’t usually cover the launch of track bikes, partly because they are few and far between, but also because track is a niche part of the cycling world, but we couldn’t resist this one – the Colnago T1Rs track bike.
Colnago says the bike was designed by drawing on the experience gained from the TT1 and marks the brand’s return to the velodrome after years of absence.
“Freed from the constraints of road applications such as brakes and gears, our engineers have pushed the limits of aerodynamics and stiffness even further,” said the company’s announcement of the new model.
The T1Rs made its race debut at the UCI London 3 Day event.
At almost $12,000, it’s going to appeal to very serious track riders.
