BMC have announced they will boost their World Tour presence by adding the new look AG2R Citroën Team to their list of sponsored teams as of January 2021.
“We are delighted to announce that the riders of the AG2R Citroën Team will be riding our bikes from 2021 on” said David Zurcher, CEO of BMC Switzerland.
“Racing is a deep-rooted component of BMC’s DNA and we were keen to strengthen our presence at the highest level of road cycling. A common vision of the sport and an ambitious sportive project quickly led us to envision a shared future with Vincent Lavenu’s team.”
The long-established French team is opening a new chapter with car manufacturer Citroën joining AG2R as major sponsor and with a new sportive strategy focusing on the Spring Classics.
“We strongly believe that with the Teammachine SLR01 and the Timemachine Road, we have the best bikes to help the team reach their high goals,” Zurcher added.
The AG2R Citroën Team riders will ride the new Teammachine SLR01, the Timemachine Road and the Timemachine for the next three seasons (2021 to 2023). NTT Pro Cycling will also continue to ride BMC bikes through until the end of 2021.
