The idea of taking your bike on holiday is in theory, what we all would love to do. But the practicalities of it sometimes get in the way. User Friendly
The clever design of the Evoc Bike Bag means that when packing your bike, you only have to dismantle the handlebar, pedals and wheels. This is also a bonus when you reach your destination, as reassembly is relatively painless and quick. On the protection front, the upright position of the frame once in the bag, means that the areas designed to take pressure, (the seat post, down tube, head tube and fork) work with the bag’s design to minimise exterior impact.
Manoeuvrability
The Evoc Bike Bag is surprisingly stable. The bulk weight of the bag is in the rear, where the wheel compartments are. And the wide casing that houses the wheels eliminates the chance of it tipping. This is an important feature at airports, when you are trying to negotiate your way through crowds, or at the cattle-run style check-in line. The last thing you need is for your bag to swing out wide and inadvertently take out some poor unsuspecting traveller. (Speaking from experience, as this happened with my previous bike bag…whoops!)
Get Down Low and Go Go Go.
With the rear positioning of the wheels, you do however, have to bend to grab the handle positioned at the front of the bag and lift the bag up. This obviously means that when you stop, you have to bend to put the bike bag down. There are two handles here. One is positioned at the top, and the other at the bottom of the bag. I kept thinking it would have been easier to grab a handle positioned about half way along. This isn’t a major flaw, but something to be aware of when you have other bags strapped around your neck and shoulders. No one likes to be strangled by their own luggage as it swings from their neck.
Other than at the front, the other handles are quite conveniently positioned, so when you have to pick your bike up to load into the car or train or onto the scales at the oversized baggage area, you can do so with ease.
With detachable rods inserted into the framework, the Evoc Bike Travel Bag has the added advantage of being able to compress it when not in use and it can be can be folded down to a height of only 30 cm for easy storage. On the fashion front, it comes in black, red, blue or multicolour.

It may not be important, or even necessary, but who doesn’t like matching luggage? It just looks cool. After packing your beloved bike into the Evoc Bike Travel Bag and making up the extra weight allowance with shoes, helmets and other bike paraphernalia, you are more than likely going to need another bag. Enter the Evoc World Traveller.
The large compartment has a zip-on/off separator, which is always handy when sharing luggage. The smaller compartment at the top of the bag has the same setup along with a mesh pocket to put smaller loose items in. On the exterior there are supportive straps designed to strengthen the bag and squeeze in the bulge. There’s even a skateboard carrier (in case you get tired of your bike?)
The handles are padded for comfortable handling and the zippers have generous sized toggles for easier zipping. Skid rails at the base of the World Traveller prevent it from coming into direct contact with the ground when layed down.
