Legenda Cycling (LGNDA) is a Melbourne based cycling apparel brand with sustainable twist. The brand was established in 2022 by Magdalena Oleksy, a passionate cyclist with almost 10 years experience in the sport.
The range includes ethically produced sustainable cycling jerseys, bib shorts, vests and base layers for men and women, offering performance, style and comfort. Made for responsible cyclists who care about the environment and are not afraid to stand out from the crowd, Legenda’s focus is on sustainable clothing, providing a greener alternative to established brands. And all their products are made from recycled polyester sourced from PET plastic bottles.
Magdalena said the company doesn’t claim to be 100% sustainable as that would be impossible.
“But we also don’t do greenwashing,” she added. “We are transparent about the sustainable aspect of our apparel. Our kits are as environmentally friendly as possible, and our packaging and mailing satchels are biodegradable and compostable. We minimise the usage of extra packing materials, tags, labels, etc. that add no value to our customers. On top of that, we make high quality products that are designed to last, instead of being thrown away after a short lifespan.”
As a new company, Magdalena says the team have gone to great lengths to minimise impact by using recycled fabrics, eco-friendly chamois materials, and even eco mailing labels.
“And we are constantly working towards improving and making our business as sustainable as possible. Our products are certified by Global Recycled Standard, Bluesign, GreenSoul and Oeko Tex, and our manufacturers are Smeta/Sedex approved,” she added.
Among Legenda’s top selling products are the seamless, ultra comfortable bib shorts in black and navy. Featuring Elastic Interface eco-friendly chamois, the bibs have quickly earned their reputation among cyclists for comfort, endurance and modern design.

Ride With Legenda
Legenda are also excited to be running monthly weekend rides around Melbourne. Enthusiasts of all fitness levels and abilities are welcome to join, and Legenda team offers the necessary encouragement and support during the rides. The emphasis is on camaraderie and fulfilment, rather than speed and results. These rides are free of cost, and Legenda team volunteers their time to coordinate and manage them.
