Brodie Chapman of the KordaMentha Real Estate Australian National team enjoyed an upset win at Stage 1 of the Women’s Herald Sun Tour, today, the 26yo powering to a stunning solo victory to beat world number one Annemiek van Vleuten (Mitchelton-SCOTT) and in-form sprinter Chloe Hosking (Ale Cipollini) to the line.
UCI Sanctioned Event
The first time the Women’s Herald Sun Tour has been UCI sanctioned, Chapman was thrilled with the high-profile win.
”It is so good – victory tastes so sweet,” she said.
“I had a rough 2017, and have been trying to get back on the bike and do something satisfying. Today was that day. A huge thanks to the KordaMentha Real Estate – Australia national team for giving me a go, my employer for giving me days off work, and everyone in the team who were so good to me today.”
