This time last week he was racing under stifling heat at the Santos Tour Down Under in Adelaide, today he was at The Vatican presenting Pope Francis with a custom S-Works race bike.

Three time World Champion Peter Sagan stood in line to meet the Pope before presenting him a signed rainbow jersey. Sagan then offered the 81yo Pope a custom white and yellow ‘Holy See edition’ Specialized bike, complete with personalised ‘Francesco’ name decal with the Argentinian flag.
