Endurance cycling event Revolve 24 has been developing a solid reputation over the past few years, the 24 hour event involving teams of riders taking shifts as they relay through hundreds of racetrack kilometres.
Typically held at various locations around the world, the Australian event has been held at The Bends Motorsport Park in South Australia while a UK event has taken place at the famous Brands Hatch circuit.
But everything is different in 2020, and the physical Revolve 24 events are on hold. Enter Virtual Revolve24 – or vR24.
Powered by online training platform FulGaz, participants will be able to ride six of the most iconic motor circuits in the world – virtually from their own home.
David Fell, Director, vR24 said there are three challenges to choose from – 24 hour, 12 Tracks or 6 Tracks with cyclists able to go solo or ride in groups and in relay.
“2020 has been a year like no other,” he said. “The cancellation of Revolve24 Australia earlier this year due to COVID-19 forced us to think and gave us the time to develop vR24.”
Six Major Racetracks
Riders can ride virtual, freshly filmed versions of The Bends Motorsport Park or Brands Hatch, and can also take on the epic Nürburgring, the GP circuit of the streets of Monaco, the F1 circuit of Silverstone before heading to the spirals at Laguna Seca in California.
The solo 24hr Challenge in vR24 is a Race Across America qualifier, making it perfect for riders who have always wanted to ride solo in the ‘World’s Toughest Bicycle Race’ and have a chance to qualify. And everyone who enters vR24 receives a complimentary subscription to FulGaz from the moment they enter until the completion of the event.
