Ride the Bowral Classic, an Imperial Century in the Southern Highlands

On the morning of October 23, 2016 the main street of Bowral NSW will be closed to traffic for the start of the Bowral Classic. The historic township’s pretty streetscape is a perfect backdrop to what will surely be great fun for everyone; racers, riders, and spectators alike.

For those riding, you’ll roll through the quiet and scenic rural roads around local villages, over challenging climbs well known by local riders including Brad McGee, and the rising Australian sprint star Caleb Ewan. For onlookers and visitors there are plenty of options; from cafes and retail fashion to fabulous antique merchants and the Bradman museum there’s a lot to take in.

Riders will choose between three distances of ride. First option is the Maxi; our Imperial Century at 100 miles in the old money, for the fit and the fast. It’s an epic ride through lush farmlands, around the hills and valleys of the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. The Maxi offers superb riding in a magnificently picturesque landscape.

The 80km Midi will appeal to those looking for a little less distance but not leave you wanting in the scenery stakes. A more leisurely pace will allow you to take in the picture postcard views, or pile on the pace, race your mates, and get it done before breakfast; the choice is yours.

Our Mini ride will suit families with kids down to the ground. An easy 25k, the Mini is a chance for mum, dad and the kids to ride together, providing an experience and sense of achievement that will delight and inspire your youngsters, and introduce them to the sport you love.

There’ll be a raft of amazing prizes for achievements across all categories from our supporting partners, and there’ll also be the option to give something back. As cyclists we’re blessed with the physical capacity to ride and we recognise that others are not so fortunate. So we’re offering you the option to ride for someone who can’t on a ‘cause of your choice’ basis… KidsXpress, Cystic Fibrosis, MS or Cancer Council Australia – the choice is totally yours!

Register your interest now!

We look forward to delivering you a world class cycling event on Oct 23, 2016.
