Australia’s track cyclists are set to take centre stage at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, with four days of racing beginning on 30 July at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
The cycling competition runs through to 2 August, with Australia sending a 25-rider team featuring Olympic medallists, world champions and emerging talent looking to add Commonwealth medals to their growing collections.
Unlike previous editions of the Games, Glasgow 2026 will feature track cycling and para-track cycling only, with road cycling, mountain biking and BMX omitted as part of the streamlined 10-sport program.
Even so, cycling remains one of the headline events, with 26 medal events to be contested across track and para-track disciplines, including the Commonwealth Games debut of the elimination race and an expanded para-cycling program.

Australian viewers can watch every race live and free on the Seven Network, with coverage available across Channel 7, 7mate and 7plus (live streaming and on-demand replays).
Glasgow is on British Summer Time (UTC+1) during the Games, while Australia is:

Australian team to watch
Australia heads to Glasgow as the most successful cycling nation in Commonwealth Games history, having won 251 medals, including 121 gold, across all cycling disciplines.
Six gold medallists from Birmingham 2022 headline the squad, including triple gold medallist Georgia Baker and sprint star Leigh Hoffman.

The races to watch
Competition will be held across morning qualifying sessions and evening medal sessions from Thursday 30 July through Sunday 2 August at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
For Australian fans, the time difference means the evening medal sessions in Glasgow will be broadcast overnight and into the early morning, making 7plus your best bet for catching up with full replays on demand.
One of the most intriguing storylines of the Games will be the men’s sprint events, where former Australian Olympic medallist Matthew Richardson will line up for England after switching national allegiance.
