KASK have released their most aero helmet in the company’s 20-year history, the Nirvana.
Promising ‘minimal drag and maximum speed’, computational fluid dynamics were used in the design process with KASK saying the helmet delivers a 35% reduction in aerodynamic drag and a 19% increase in ventilation.
The Nirvana incorporates ear covers which allows airflow to be channelled more efficiently around the helmet. An added bonus with this – particularly for Australian riders – is the fact the helmet helps protect the ears from the sun.

Flipping the helmet over, and internal channelling has been redesigned to provide optimal cooling to the front and top of the head. The inside of the helmet also features Multipod technology, the 3D-printed internal padding as seen on the recently released Elemento (a helmet reviewed inside the next edition of the magazine.)
As well as being designed for speed there’s a focus on safety with KASK’s Rotational Impact WG11 tech in place to minimise rotational impact injury.

Nirvana’s other technical features include KASK’s time proven OCTOFIT+ adjustment system. The chin strap is similar to recent KASK models, a realistic but faux-leather strap. The helmet incorporates a sunglasses port at the front and a reflective graphic at the back.
Nirvana is available in traditional Black Matt and White Matt, as well as in Cherry Burst, Blueberry Fade and Ultraviolet.
Weighing in at just 270 grams (size M), Nirvana is available in sizes M and L at a recommended retail price of $AU570.
