Recon Jet Sunglasses

Like something out of Robocop, Recon Jet sunglasses will take your cycling experience into the digital future. The recon unit provide a Heads Up Display (HUD) that integrates via ANT+ and Bluetooth with your current equipment to display all your performance stats and data such as speed, distance, time, vertical ascent and power. Telephone connectivity allows caller ID, text messages hands-free, and uploading data to social networks in real time during activity, seamlessly and hands free. Recon’s software is open platform allowing both private and corporate developers to create applications for the unit—and so major health and fitness companies are already working on native apps to run on the device. The device includes a 1 GHz dual core processor, dedicated graphics, Wi-Fi, ANT+, Bluetooth, GPS and a high definition video camera. The display is controlled by a precision optical touch-pad that supports multiple gesture controls and is able to cope with any weather conditions, and function even with gloves on. We’ll have a pair of the Recons on test in coming months.

RRP: $599
