Bicycle NSW and their key stakeholders have advised Sydney cyclists of a NSW Police operation on Tuesday June 28.
Cyclists are always urged to abide by the cycling laws but Bicycle NSW is preparing riders for the operation which focuses on rider safety and courtesy on the road and shared paths.
The recently implemented laws can be found here. Know your rights and familiarise yourself with the road rules, steep fines now apply. NSW Police can fine cyclists riding without helmets, without bells, not stopping at designated stop signals and any riding they perceive as dangerous.
The operation will be concentrated in the Centennial Park area and Inner Sydney.
