Trek Australia have announced three time Tour De France green jersey winner Robbie McEwen will join them as an ambassador.
“Robbie’s passion for cycling and involvement in the local cycling community makes him a great example of a leader who works towards Trek’s mission of getting more people on bikes,” said Ashley Longshaw of Trek Australia.
“Since retiring from the UCI WorldTour, you can find Robbie dedicating his time to cycling events and charities around Australia. Besides commentating for cycling events such as the Santos Festival of Cycling, he also contributes his knowledge to help the cycling industry grow,” she continued.
“During his career, Robbie was one of the world’s fastest sprinters and we are excited to have him on board and show off his skills on our Trek Bicycles.”
As busy, enthusiastic and energetic as ever, McEwen works closely with Matthew Keenan as global Tour de France commentator and with the SBS commentary team for other major international races and events.
