Leading global jersey and cycling apparel manufacturers Santini SMS have announced an exciting collaboration with La Vuelta Espana – the Italian company to supply race jerseys and merchandise for five years from 2017.
For the collaboration Santini will be producing the four leader jerseys: the Carrefour red jersey for the leader of the general classification, the polka dot King of the Mountain jersey, the Skoda green jersey for the leader of the points classification and the Fertiberia white jersey for the leader of the combined classification. The leader jerseys will be complemented by a complete line of products and merchandise.
Javier Guillén, General Manager of Unipublic – the organiser of La Vuelta Espana – said Santini SMS’s design and creative character was in synch with the philosophy and image of the race.
“For this reason we consider them to be the perfect ally to help us transmit all the values that characterise us, through our jerseys”, said Guillén.
The feeling was shared by Santini Maglificio Sportivo’s CEO, Monica Santini who said the company was delighted with the sponsorship of La Vuelta.
“In more than 80 years of tradition, La Vuelta today is close to everyone’s hearts,” she said.
“We share the same values and passion. It will be an exciting event for everyone, not only for pros but for all cyclists who train with passion and challenge themselves. For us the partnership with La Vuelta is more than just a race, it represents our continuing contribution to global cycling. Working together not only as a sponsor but a partner with fresh ideas including new special event jerseys, to write together a new chapter of cycling history”.
The new jerseys consolidate the empowerment of the Vuelta brand and reinforce the identity of the Spanish race all over the world, as one of the most important events in the international sporting calendar. All the new leader jerseys and the line of clothes dedicated to La Vuelta, will be available for purchase on the Santini Maglificio Sportivo website (www.santinisms.it), on the Vuelta website (www.lavuelta.com) and in leading cycling stores around the world.
