Campagnolo have unveiled the new Super Record S Wireless groupset, positioned as a more affordable, second-tier electronic offering.
Finished in matt black, the new groupo features a wider range while adding only 150g compared to the top-tier Super Record Wireless.
We’ve not seen or ridden it, but Campagnolo’s say Super Record S shares much of the same functionality as the flagship offering.
Other than aesthetics, major changes include the replacement of the traditional thumb shifter, seen in previous Campagnolo models, with paddles positioned beneath the brake lever.
2,670grams All Up
The carbon crankset is not hollow like the one found in the Super Record Wireless, contributing to the added weight of 150g. The total groupset weight is stated as 2,670g. This is marginally lighter than Shimano’s Ultegra Di2, which weighs 2,710g, and SRAM’s Force AXS at 2,896g.
The Super Record S also offers more gearing options. Alongside the existing configurations of 50-34, 48-32, and 45-29, the new groupset introduces 54-39, 53-39, and 52-36 combinations. In addition, it features a new 11-32t cassette, which complements the current 10-29t and 10-27t options.
Local pricing and availability to be advised.
