New Release: Continental Launch Gravel Tyres

Continental have entered the ever-popular gravel market with two new tyres – the TERRA Trail and TERRA Speed.

Continental say the TERRA Trail is designed for riders wanting versatility and adventure – and TERRA Speed – for those seeking comfort, velocity and performance.

Designed and handmade in Continental’s headquarters in Korbach, both tyres are made with Continental’s ‘Black Chili Compound’, feature their ProTection Technology, and are ‘TR’ tubeless-ready. They are also available in two colorways – black/black and black/cream.

TERRA Trail
Available in two sizes, 650 x 40B (440g) and 700 x 40C (460g), Continental say the TERRA Trail is a tyre that offers ‘unrivalled versatility’ thanks to the aggressive tread pattern, offering steadfast traction across a multitude of terrains.

“This gives the rider the freedom to experience adventures with the ability to switch, uncompromisingly, between tarmac, gravel, muddy trails and other surfaces,” said a spokesperson. “Ideal for wet and more challenging conditions, this is the knobbliest tyre in the TERRA range, designed to give the cyclist the ultimate confidence on their bike.”

TERRA Speed
As the name suggests, TERRA Speed is the faster tyre in the range due to its reduced prominence in tread pattern, which generates less rolling resistance. Ideal for performance-seekers or those riding on less challenging surfaces, this model is available in four sizes: 650 x 35B (390g), 650 x 40B (400g), 700 x 35C (400g) and 700 x 40C (420g).

Continental say the TERRA Speed is unwavering when it comes to grip and is the perfect companion for rides and races in dry, dusty and loose conditions.

Pricing and availability
Both new tyres are available to buy now through Continental’s retail partners worldwide.
