Cyclist survives collision with 145kph train!

This young man in Poland  decided to ride around the boom gate and ignore the flashing lights and was lucky to get away relatively unscathed. Luckily he took just a glancing blow, but still was knocked down and unconcious.

Level crossings are a danger the world over. Here in Australia in the 10 years from 2002 to 2012 there were around 600 train collisions with vehicles at level crossings, with Victoria and Queensland significantly over represented in the statistics.
