New Canyon-SRAM womens cycling team has announced it’s 2016 roster and sponsors.
Managers Ronnie Lauke and Beth Duryea said their aim is to inspire women to cycle. In a press release from the Rapha Cycling Club in London, Lauke said, “We have the staff, riders and partners that will demonstrate our forward thinking modern approach to women’s cycling.”
The roster will include German riders Lisa Brennauer, Trixi Worrack and Mieke Kröger; Australian Tiffany Cromwel; Italians Elena Cecchini and Barbara Guarischi; Belorussian Alena Amialiusik; Great Britain’s Hannah Barnes; and American Alexis Ryan.
Cromwel has also said the Rio Olympics are a big target after missing her opportunity for selection at London in 2012.
The team will be lucky enough to use the brand new Canyon Ultimate WMN CF SLX road bikes and Speedmax CF SLX time trial bikes equipped with SRAM eTap.
Other sponsors who are showing their support for the newly formed team previously Velocio-SRAM are Zipp, Quarq, Giro, BOA Technology, Zwift, Wahoo, Ergon, Speedplay, Continental, Multipower, Morgan Blue, Solestar, Action Wipes, Oakley, First Endurance and SVL Sports Insurance.
