Video: Training Advice For Those Riding 50, 110 & 160km Gran Fondo Cycling Events

Bicycling Australia’s maiden classics event for 2018 is the Clare Classic, a 50,110 and 160km Gran Fondo event to be held in the Clare Valley less than 2-hours drive from Adelaide.

Organisers are thrilled to have partnered with Adelaide’s premium indoor on-bike training provider, MegaSpin. Headed up by well-known local cyclists Claud Altin and Roxanne Price, MegaSpin offer indoor spin sessions several nights a week from their specialist training centre at the MegaBike store at 187 Rundle St in central Adelaide.

On a recent visit to MegaBike we enjoyed coffee and a chat with Claud, and asked about last-minute training advice for riders of both the Challenge and Maxi Classic events, along with tips for those taking on the 50km Social Classic.

In this video interview Claud also offers advice on ensuring your bike is well-prepared for any of Bicycling Australia’s cycling classics event of which there are now three – the Clare Classic on April 8, Noosa Classic on August 26 and Bowral Classic on October 21.

Claud’s advice in this video is particularly appropriate for riders of the Clare Classic which is now just over 6-weeks away. Haven’t secured your place yet? Register today via this link!
